Extreme Pogo Sticking

When I think pogo sticks I usually think of those older toys that really weren’t very fun because you could only jump like 6 inches off the ground but I know have a new view of pogo sticks. I never knew that pogo sticks could be considered an extreme sport but after I saw a video on these new pogo stick I can see how it can be considered an extreme sport. With these new type of pogo sticks you can jump higher than you ever though.

These new extreme pogo sticks don’t have any metal springs like the original pogo sticks. There are actually two different systems for these extreme pogo sticks. One system uses compressed air in a chamber to produce bounce. The other system uses a patented elastomeric spring system. This system consists of 12 elastomer rubber thruster rods. These thruster rods are able to stretch up to 300 percent, allowing a person jump over 5 feet high.

With either system these are some really cool extreme pogo sticks. If you don’t believe me just check out this video, it’ll show you what is possible on these new pogo sticks.

This is the Poweriser show team in Europe, they really good. This video will show you some possibilities of what you can do with Powerisers. You should definitely not try anything these guys are doing without the proper safety gear and practice but it is definitely cool what you can do with Powerisers.

If anyone else has a cool video they want to get seen, send it in and I’ll put it up on the blog.

Powersiers can be dangerous and no one should try anything on that video with out proper training and supervision.

Jumping Stilts History

Jumping Stilts are the new extreme sport. Jumping Stilts were originally invented and patented in Germany by Alexander Boeck. They were originally called Fly Jumpers but now have lots of different names including but not limited to: Jumping Stilts, Powerisers, Powerizers, Powerbocking, Air-Trekkers, PowerStriders, Jumping Jacks, Pro Jumpers, and Kangaroo Feet.

Jumping Stilts Basics

Jumping Stilts are a spring loaded stilt that allows you to jump higher and run faster than you ever though possible. Don’t miss understand it takes some time to learn how to really use Jumping Stilts but with a few hours of practice you will get the basics down and from there you will only get better.

When learning to use Jumping Stilts its important to take it slow and to pace yourself. Make sure you wear the proper safety gear because Jumping Stilts can be dangerous and all precautions should be taken
